Grants for circular pilot lines

The CYPRESS project support the regional SMEs and larger enterprises in the development of pilot circular production lines through a grant scheme.

In a first phase, starting early 2025, 3 digital pilot lines will be conceived and implemented within cross-border company consortia.

For each of the proposed pilot line topics, technical targets for an e-vehicle subassembly will be formulated, as well as quantitative targets for circularity and carbon footprint in the production phase. Besides financial support through grants, the engaged companies will also benefit from the technical expertise of the CYPRESS partners to realize a circular production concept with strong economic potential. In a next phase starting in 2026 and for (at least) one of the 3 pilot topics, additional grants will be provided to realize at least one physical pilot line that is distributed across the beneficiary companies.

The aim of the grant scheme is to bring 3 digital/physical circular pilot lines to higher Technology Readiness Level, demonstrating for the supply chain of electric vehicles both technical and economic potential of highly-circular and resource-efficient production within the Meuse-Region, and beyond.

Funding

The CYPRESS project stimulates cross-border cooperation and can provide grants up to 100 000 EUR to support circular production in the automotive industry within the Meuse-Rhine region, focusing on Electric Vehicle (EV) technologies.

Funding is available for cross-border consortia to develop three digital pilot production lines, with the most promising one eligible for additional support to implement a physical pilot.
