Mammoet successfully introduced fully electric Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs) at the ITER sitein France, showcasing a major step toward sustainable heavy transport. The project demonstrated thatelectric solutions can meet demanding industrial requirements while reducing environmental impact andimproving workplace safety.
- Advantages: Powered by Emoss electric drive technology, the SPMTs enable precise, low-noise, andemission-free movement of large components
- Materials: Battery powered drive line
- System and process: Emoss removed the Diesel engine, replaced it by a electric drivetrain, while leaving thehydraulic system in tact
